Fall is here!

My favorite time of year is here! I love the fall. Illinois really spoiled me on the gorgeous scenery and cool temps. I so miss apple picking in Western Illinois. I am enjoying pretending by having my fall scents and baking things like pumpkin bread and soup. Someday I hope our Navy life takes us back to the Mid West! Life never slows down and the last week has been no exception. Thankfully this week we had daddy home a little earlier. We are looking forward to getting past the next week so we can enjoy his vacation time as we creep up upon deployment. Pine Wood Derby: Jacob took 3rd place!! Ian spent his only full day off in over two weeks making the cars with the boys. Unfortunately he missed it:( But they sure are lucky to have such a good dad! Luke. What can I say about this little guy. He is such a stinker! He bought me flowers from Trader Joes last week though and then daddy came home with flowers too! I love fresh flowers. Poor kiddo has curse of the baby brother though. Misses naps, has shortened naps, has to stay up way past a nap....some days are not too fun! One of my favorite times of the week is Friday mornings when I volunteer in Owen's class. I love seeing how well adjusted he is because he is such a stinker at home! This picture is of this morning that I snuck while he was working with his teacher. This last picture is of this afternoon. Ian actually got off at a decent time and walked in about five minutes before Jacob and Nathan. And within five minutes this is what my living room looked like. We all were so happy to have him home for dinner and plan to enjoy every minute of the next two days!
