A few of Luke's favorite new things....

This week Luke really found his toes and loves them. He also had his first "snack" of a rice wafer. He had fun making a mess but is not too sure of actually eating it. He also got his first sippy cup and already has mastered getting little bits of water out. He mostly likes to chew on the nipple. I am sure it feels good on his teething gums. He is quite the funny little guy and keeps us all amused. We have started calling him Luke Worm because he is squirming around and across the floor like an inch worm. I am trying to enjoy the last bit of immobility because I know it is quickly coming to an end!

I love my boys!

Some days are long and full of fighting but there are always little moments mingled in where I am so thankful for my boys! (all five of them!) Here are just a few of those precious moments!

A little more brotherly love

Now that Luke's body control is getting better Jacob can lift and play with him a bit more. It is so fun to watch them play. I was emailing and turned around and Jacob had put him in his seat and all four boys were on the couch watching a cartoon priceless!:)

I put Luke in the highchair for the first time the other day and Owen decided he needed every single baby toy. I turned around and found them all stuffed in with him. Owen was SO proud. I just had to laugh and of course take a picture.

Auntie Laura and Uncle Greg's Visit!

They boys were so excited (and me too!) to have Laura and Greg come see us for five whole days. Greg was so great with the boys and even grumpy Owen loved playing with him. It was a week full of lots of laughs for sure!I wish we had taken more pictures.

My Sickies

We have been quite the sick house this year so far. I have gotten it the worst unfortunately. I think my immune system is shot with having Luke and no sleep. Jacob brought home a cold a couple of weeks ago and "shared" it with Owen and Luke. Poor baby had made it through three rounds of various colds and finally this one hit him and hit him hard. Both Owen and Luke got bronchilitis and had such awful coughs. We (the three of us) were up ALL night long for days. They both had to have breathing treatments a few times a day but we were lucky enough that our insurance paid for us to have our own machine at home. They even gave us a cute froggy mask for Owen. Owen HATED every second of the treatments and it was quite the challenge but it helped. The doctor told me when I took them back in for their rechecks a few days later that I kept them out of the hospital because both of them were about ready to be admitted. I thought after that things would get better but instead poor baby Luke went from chest infection to head infection, sinus infection and pink eye. It was a long long week. Finally with eye drops and antibiotics he seems to be close to himself. Still a bit stuffy and now still wants to wake a million times a night (I think because his body is now used to it) but overall back to his happy self. He has been quite the little trooper and has even started rolling from front to back and back to front and is sitting well enough to enjoy his little bumbo chair. We sure do love that baby boy! Here are a few pictures of my sick babies.

And a couple random shots...

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

We had the best weekend with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a short visit but well worth it. They flew down so that Grandpa could help bless Luke in church. Unfortunately poor Ian is working like a dog and on top of it sick AND poor Luke finally has succumbed and is sick as well. So, we went to church yesterday, Ian blessed him and we partook of the sacrament and came home. Ian had to be back on the ship and we spent the afternoon spending last quality time with Grandma and Grandpa before they flew home last night. I got the best present EVER a full two hour nap. I think its the only thing keeping me sane right now with at least two kids at a time sick. I was up five times last night from 12:30 to 6 between Owen and Luke. Its been a long week and a half! We did not take too many pictures but I wanted to make sure I got one of Luke in the little blessing suit. All four boys have worn the same outfit. It is a good thing we blessed him when we did because he was bursting out of it:) The boys had so much fun playing with Grandpa wrestling, nerf gun wars, legos, watching tv. And Jacob especially loved reading with Grandma. Love you Mom and Dad!

Ian gave Luke a wonderful blessing. We love that little man so much. I just hope he gets better soon as I worry so much its moving down into his chest. Even though he is pretty miserable he is still smiley and a happy go lucky babe although Grandma and Grandpa spoiled him and he wants me to hold him all day:) I wish I had gotten pictures of everyone or at least a family picture but between Owen having a major bad day due to Ian leaving again and Luke being sick this was the best I could do. We are now just waiting to get to spend next week with Auntie Laura and Uncle Greg!
