Here are some of my favorites from the last two weeks...so the great grandparents can see:) Luke's new favorite thing is to table surf:) He is quite proud of himself in the one of him on the table. Owen is, as always, our creator and has enjoyed crafting a lot. We sure have missed Ian as we have only gotten to see him about 10 days in the last month so there is one of him cuddling with his babies before he headed out again and then one he sent me from the ship of himself:) There is also a picture of Nathan's Family Tree Project that he and I did. We had a great time!

77 degrees in Feburary!?? Lets go to the BEACH!!
The title says it all. We have missed Ian a lot this week for various reasons and I did not want to spend a day off with the kids doing nothing. So we went down to Coronado and met up with Paige and Dylan and spent three wonderful hours on the sunny beach. I still can't believe the boys went IN the water. I did not even want my feet in it. But they did and loved every minute of it until they could not move anymore. This was Luke's first time at the beach since last Summer and he was so cute! He loved the birds and running up and down the beach. He did not, however, like the noise of the planes. After the first few times of getting upset he would just run to me and stick his head between my legs to hide:) Welcome to a Navy Base beach baby!
Here are some pictures from our day. Paige and Dylan are the BEST and I/we are so lucky to have them. Luke even said Dylan today more than once. So cute!
What a perfect beach day and the road trip was not too bad either!

Visiting Great Grandparents...and reliving the past
My mom was able to stay here a few extra days this week and Monday we drove down to Fallbrook where she grew up to visit my Grandparents' graves and give them some flowers and then my mom took me on a little tour of Fallbrook to see where my Grandpa's old office was and even out to their old family home. Owen had fun manicuring the grave sites and we all had fun walking a bit through the cemetary looking at the headstones. It was a really fun morning.
And one last picture because I love it. I am not sure what Lucy's future in this house holds. But she is good with the kids.Posted by Sarah Heller at 10:43 AM 0 comments
Jacob - Student of the Month!!
Jacob received Student of the month last month for his "enthusiasm on his Owl pellet lab project". This just cracked me up! If you don't know what an Owl Pellet is it is basically that they disected the regurgitated masses of bones that Owls throw back up after they eat. He LOVED this. He missed a day of school and had to bring it home to finish and his brothers were AMAZED. Ian was able to get the afternoon off and surprised Jacob by attending the award's assembly. The look on his face when he saw all of us was priceless. He is a great boy! I can't believe he will be TEN next week!

It's Great to be 8! Yay Nathan!
Nathan turned 8 on January 10th. It is hard to believe it has been 8 years since he rushed into our world. He made the very important decision to be baptized last Saturday too! Here he is with a couple of his presents
Owen and I decorated the livingroom with balloons and signs to surprise Nathan when he got home from school. Ian had duty on Nathan's actual birthday so the night before he got his BIG present a new BIKE!! He was thrilled and loves it. We did presents on his actual birthday and went out for frozen yogurt but he wanted to have his cake with Ian. So the day after we enjoyed it. I went down as the worst mom EVER by not realizing I had no candles OOPS. He was a good sport and Ian grabbed some tall cookies on the fly and we pretended those were candles. Here are some pictures of him "blowing" them out and acting so surprised. It ended up being pretty funny! (and check out that beeee U tiful Fiesta ware cake plate!!) Nathan decided to get baptized last weekend. He received his very own scriptures and a new tie for the occasion. Grandma and Grandpa traveled down to be with him on his special day. They both gave talks at his baptism about being baptized and the covenants he was making and also about receiving the Holy Ghost. We were lucky enough to have good friends come up from San Diego to share his day and then share a fun meal at our house after. Valerie and her family will be moving this summer and it will end 9 years of being stationed with and around eachother. I am sad but excited for the new things to come for their family. Here are a few pictures from his day. We are so proud of Nathan and his choices!Posted by Sarah Heller at 10:30 AM 0 comments
