It's Great to be 8! Yay Nathan!

Nathan turned 8 on January 10th. It is hard to believe it has been 8 years since he rushed into our world. He made the very important decision to be baptized last Saturday too! Here he is with a couple of his presents

Owen and I decorated the livingroom with balloons and signs to surprise Nathan when he got home from school.
Ian had duty on Nathan's actual birthday so the night before he got his BIG present a new BIKE!! He was thrilled and loves it.
We did presents on his actual birthday and went out for frozen yogurt but he wanted to have his cake with Ian. So the day after we enjoyed it. I went down as the worst mom EVER by not realizing I had no candles OOPS. He was a good sport and Ian grabbed some tall cookies on the fly and we pretended those were candles. Here are some pictures of him "blowing" them out and acting so surprised. It ended up being pretty funny! (and check out that beeee U tiful Fiesta ware cake plate!!)
Nathan decided to get baptized last weekend. He received his very own scriptures and a new tie for the occasion. Grandma and Grandpa traveled down to be with him on his special day. They both gave talks at his baptism about being baptized and the covenants he was making and also about receiving the Holy Ghost. We were lucky enough to have good friends come up from San Diego to share his day and then share a fun meal at our house after. Valerie and her family will be moving this summer and it will end 9 years of being stationed with and around eachother. I am sad but excited for the new things to come for their family. Here are a few pictures from his day.
We are so proud of Nathan and his choices!
