Glenview Preschool

How special Nathan's preschool in Glenview has been to us, even since we have moved. Nathan got one last card from his head teacher Miss Joy yesterday in the mail. In the card was a snapshot of his friends in their caps and gowns from preschool graduation this past week along with a poem that each of the students got.

You are a very special person
And you should really know,
How we loved to be your teachers
How fast the year did go

Please come back to visit us,
As through the grades you grow
Try hard to learn all you can,
There is so much to know.

One thing we tried to teach you,
To last your whole life through,
Is to know that you are special,
Just because you are you.

Good luck in kindergarten!
We are very proud of you!

Miss Joy and Miss Patty

Also enclosed was a short note from Miss Joy to Nathan and our family saying that "we talked and thought about you a lot throughout the school year. Just wanted4d you to know that your friend Brogan got to bring the picture back you made for all your friends at preschool home to his house to keep forever and ever." Nathan still talks about Brogan and tells us how he misses his "best friend".

I can't begin to say how much of an impact our experience with all of his teachers at the Park District have made on Nathan and even Ian and I. Needless to say it set the bar very high and it is a hard thing to live up to. Getting the various cards and notes sure has made Nathan feel a lot better about moving and settling in here. If there is one thing I really really miss about Glenview it definitely is the schools.
